NL Government Launches New Program for Communities and Non-Profits
From VOCM News
The government of Newfoundland and Labrador is now accepting applications from non-profits and municipalities to secure funding for community projects.
The Community Enhancement Employment Program provides money to towns, municipalities, local service districts and other non-profit organizations to help fund short-term employment for projects.
According to their website, they are looking for projects that contribute to tourism and economic development, infrastructure, and community services.
Workers can be employed up to 400 hours to help them qualify for Employment Insurance benefits.
People can learn more by visiting the Community Enhancement Employment Program page.
Interesting stuff here. We will read into it more but this may be opportunities for municipalities and non-profits to get their own generation facilities installed!
